k-pool Terms of Service

1. Scope and Acceptance

These Terms apply to every visitor and registered user of k-pool. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and applicable notices.

2. Registration and Account Management

Users must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and promptly update account details. Users are responsible for activity performed through their accounts and must notify k-pool of suspected unauthorized use.

3. Wiki Features

k-pool enables users to browse, create, edit, translate, submit for review, and publish wikis. Availability depends on account status, affiliation, delegated authority, and review permissions.

4. User Content and License

Users retain rights in content they submit. Users grant k-pool a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, translate, review, display, distribute, and modify that content only as needed to operate, improve, and promote the service. Users represent that they have the rights required to grant this license.

5. Collaborative Editing and Review

Wiki content may be edited or translated collaboratively, reviewed, returned for revision, approved, published, corrected, hidden, or reverted. Publication does not guarantee accuracy or endorsement, and later contributors may modify published content.

6. Images, Copyright, and Publicity Rights

Before submitting an image, users must verify copyright, portrait/publicity rights, the source, and any required permission. Users must provide accurate source and rights-confirmation information and must not upload unlawful or misleading material.

7. External Links and Embedded Content

Wikis may link to or embed content from third-party services. k-pool does not control third-party content, availability, or privacy practices. Viewing embedded content may send information to its provider under that provider's terms.

8. Prohibited Conduct

• Violating laws, third-party rights, or public order.
• Impersonation, harassment, fraud, or submission of false information.
• Unauthorized access, interference, scraping that burdens the service, or introduction of malicious code.
• Uploading content that is unlawful, discriminatory, obscene, deceptive, or infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.
• Evading reviews, access controls, suspensions, or other safeguards.

9. Removal and Use Restrictions

k-pool may review, correct, hide, reject, or remove content and may limit or suspend use when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect rights or safety, comply with law, or maintain the service. Where practical, k-pool will consider the circumstances and user impact.

10. Changes, Suspension, and Termination

k-pool may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service because of maintenance, security, legal, operational, or other reasonable needs. Advance notice will be provided when practical.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The service and user-contributed information are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. k-pool does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, k-pool is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes to These Terms

k-pool may revise these Terms when needed. Material changes will be announced through the service or another reasonable method and will state the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The court having jurisdiction over the operator's location shall have exclusive agreed jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
