k-pool Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Policy applies to information handled through k-pool websites, account functions, wiki features, reviews, uploads, and inquiries.

2. Information We Collect

• User name, email address, and passkey registration information.
• Language setting and profile image.
• Identifiers, email address, and profile information received through Google, LINE, or Kakao sign-in.
• Account name, type, category, telephone number, and address.
• Membership, invitations, affiliations, and delegated-authority information.
• Documents uploaded for identity, organization, or eligibility verification.
• Wiki submissions, edits, translations, publications, reviews, and revision history.
• Submitted images, sources, rights confirmations, and deletion requests.

• IP address, User-Agent, access time, request details, and other server logs.

3. Purposes of Use

• Identity verification, authentication, and account management.
• Providing, editing, translating, reviewing, and publishing wikis.
• Managing permissions, affiliations, invitations, and delegations.
• Confirming rights relating to images and submitted content.
• Responding to inquiries.
• Preventing abuse and maintaining security.

4. External Services

Depending on the features used, k-pool works with Google, LINE, Kakao, Google Cloud Translation, Sentry, YouTube, Spotify, X, and TikTok. Their processing is governed by their own policies. When external embedded content is displayed, the viewer's IP address, browser information, cookies, or viewing activity may be sent directly to the provider.

5. Service Providers

k-pool may entrust hosting, authentication, translation, monitoring, communications, and other operations to service providers. Providers receive only information reasonably necessary for their work and are subject to appropriate contractual or other safeguards.

6. Third-Party Disclosure

k-pool does not provide personal information to third parties except with consent, through disclosed service providers, when required by law, when necessary to protect life, safety, rights, or property, or in another case permitted by applicable law.

7. Security Measures

k-pool uses measures appropriate to the nature of the information, including access controls, passkey and SSO authentication, authenticated sessions, least-privilege permissions, review of uploaded material, logging, and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Retention and Deletion

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, service continuity, dispute handling, security, and legal obligations. Information no longer required is deleted or anonymized using reasonable methods, subject to backups and legally required retention.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

k-pool uses cookies for sessions, authentication, and language preferences, and may use local storage for display or editor preferences. Disabling these technologies may prevent some features from working. Third-party embedded services may set or read their own cookies.

10. Access, Correction, Suspension, and Deletion Requests

Subject to applicable law, a person may request disclosure, correction, cessation of use, or deletion of their personal information. 11. Children and Minors

Minors should use k-pool with consent and supervision from a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law. If information was submitted without required consent, contact k-pool.

k-pool may update this Policy to reflect service or legal changes. Material changes will be announced through the service or another reasonable method and will include the effective date.
